Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Molty Weighted Blanket?
The Weighted Blanket is designed for your most comforting and calming sleep yet. Its soft pressure induces a calming effect in the body that helps you fall asleep, and it is built to help reduce anxiety by stimulating the sensation of being hugged.
How does a weighted blanket help you fall asleep?
The gentle, even weight applies soft pressure across your body, which induces a calming effect that eases you toward sleep. Rather than sedating you, it works by settling the restlessness that keeps many people lying awake, giving the body a steady, grounding sensation.
Can a weighted blanket help with anxiety?
The Molty Weighted Blanket is designed to help reduce anxiety by stimulating the sensation of being hugged, which many people find comforting and grounding. It is a comfort product rather than a treatment, so if anxiety is significantly affecting you, please also speak with a doctor.
Why does a weighted blanket feel like being hugged?
Because the weight is spread evenly across your whole body rather than resting in one spot, it recreates the steady, enveloping pressure of a hug. That sensation is the mechanism behind the calming effect, which is why the pressure is described as soft rather than heavy.
Who should choose the Weighted Blanket over the Cooling Blanket?
Choose the Weighted Blanket if your difficulty is falling asleep, restlessness, or anxiety, since it works through calming pressure. Choose the Cooling Blanket if your problem is heat, since it is lightweight, compact, and breathable. They address entirely different sleep obstacles.
